    When Barry Humbert started working in the heating and air conditioning industry in 1977, it was a much different scene altogether. He's seen his fair share of changes within the industry. He's adapted and grown with each technological advancement and now approaches each project as an expert in the field.

    Humbert Inc. Heating and Air Conditioning started in 1994 with Barry and Joan Humbert. Initially, they worked out of their garage, just the two of them. Now they work out of a 2500 square foot building and have added 2 full-time employees to the mix. They are a small company that has built a solid reputation within their community. "You might not know our name," says Barry, "because to us, quality is more important than quantity."

    When equipment is in need of replacement or new equipment is added, many companies simply start replacing parts without taking other elements into consideration. Instead of simply looking at existing equipment, Humbert, Inc. looks at the whole house. By starting at the beginning and taking into account any upgrades made to the equipment or house, they devise the best possible course of action for that specific situation. Sometimes it's a change to the existing system, and sometimes it's a whole new system altogether. Regardless, they both result in a lower energy bill.

They also meet our high standards when servicing and/or installing. The bottom line is it has to work well and look good when finished or we're not happy," says Barry. "We stay on top of technology and are always learning better ways to do things, along with learning about new energy-saving products. We don't sell fuel; we sell reliable and efficient equipment and workmanship."

    Barry loves a good challenge so he revels in difficult jobs left unfixed by the competition. It's the trouble-shooting aspect of it that he enjoys most. And nothing is more rewarding to him than fixing a system previously deemed "unfixable."
